About us

Sidecar gives you the skills and tools you need to lead your membership organization with purpose.

Who we are

Originally founded in 2016 as AssociationSuccess.org, we have long worked to fulfill our Core Purpose: growing leaders at every level. Sound exciting? We think so too.

At Sidecar, we create the professional development tools a leader needs to grow their career and their purpose-driven membership organization, like associations and nonprofits.

The skills you’ll learn within our growing community, interactive workshops and from our step-by-step courses will drive innovation, empower strategic thinking and institute cultural changes wherever your career takes you.

That’s why we say, if you want to go, go. But if you want to go far, go with Sidecar.

Who are our members?

We believe no one ever created anything worthwhile without challenging themselves and their organizations to think differently!

That’s why our leaders push the envelope and challenge the status quo. They ask why, and they aren’t afraid to experiment, even if it means they might fail. They also focus on creating an environment that supports and empowers everyone around them, because that’s what fearless leaders should do.

Our Values

In order to grow association leaders at every level and create a valuable professional development platform, we’ve set core values that guide everything we do:

Ask 'why?' It’s easy to say “we’ve always done it this way;” we think it’s better to ask “what’s possible?” That’s why we ask questions, experiment and try new things — even when it’s scary.

Seek the unexpected. In a world with no shortage of content, we seek diverse perspectives from beyond our industry to create unexpected lessons and joyful surprises.

Practice what we preach. We’re not going to ask an industry to change, learn and grow without being willing to change, learn and grow ourselves.

Stay weird. We like ourselves and we like each other - dog cameos, wrestling GIFs and all.

Fly together. We step forward with excitement while knowing we also have the space to step back.
